3 Days Masai Mara Safari

Day 1: Nairobi to Masai Mara – Arrival and First Game Drive
Depart Nairobi in the morning, driving through the scenic Great Rift Valley. The journey to the Masai Mara takes approximately 5 to 6 hours, offering breathtaking views along the way. Stop for lunch at a restaurant or designated rest area on the way. Upon arrival in the Masai Mara, check in to your lodge or camp. In the afternoon, embark on your first game drive through the reserve. The Masai Mara is home to an abundance of wildlife, including the Big Five (lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard, and rhinoceros), as well as cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, and a wide variety of bird species. Enjoy the sunset over the Mara plains before returning to your accommodation for dinner and overnight. Accommodation options include luxury options such as Mara Intrepids, Mara Serena Safari Lodge, or a standard lodge like Mara Simba Lodge or Keekorok Lodge.

Day 2: Full Day Safari in Masai Mara – Wildlife and Cultural Exploration
Start your day early with a morning game drive. This is the prime time for spotting predators like lions and cheetahs as they are more active during the cooler hours of the day. After your game drive, return to your lodge for breakfast. Following breakfast, you will embark on another exciting game drive or a visit to a Maasai village to learn about the indigenous Maasai culture and their way of life. After lunch, enjoy a third game drive, where you’ll have the chance to witness the reserve’s wildlife from a different angle and observe the fascinating behaviors of animals. Depending on the time of year, you may even witness the Great Migration, where millions of wildebeest and zebras make their way across the Mara. Dinner and overnight at your accommodation in the Masai Mara.

Day 3: Masai Mara to Nairobi – Final Game Drive and Departure
After an early breakfast, take your final morning game drive to catch a last glimpse of the wildlife and the beautiful landscape before returning to your lodge for check-out. Enjoy one last drive back to Nairobi, with a stop for lunch on the way, arriving in Nairobi in the late afternoon or early evening.
